How To Organize An Open Table
"If every congregation would do this..."

Lifted from homelessness through
Open Table,
now speaking to congregations.
How To Get Started
Open table provides the resources you need to organize an Open Table:
Open Table University: A two and one-half day
immersion into the Open Table process for interested congregations.
Includes seminars taught by Open Table veterans, human services partners
as well as the observation of a table meeting in progress.
Mentor-led Program: A veteran Open Table member
provides experienced guidance to your table from the organizational phase
through launch and on an ongoing basis.
Get Started Manual: A manual written by table members
who have been through the process.
Community Resource Network in Existing Areas: Wherever
there are existing tables, your table can plug into our network of partner
shelters to identify people you can help as well as extensive resource
networks.
Community Resource Network in New Areas: If there are
no operating tables in your area, Open Table will work with you to develop
a regional network of shelters and extensive resource networks in your
area.
Once you have experienced the Open Table process, you
can help the movement grow by mentoring other congregations and
organizations.
It can start with an email. Just provide us with your
name, your phone number and the name of the organization to which you
belong. We'll get in touch and together we can start changing the
homeless situation where you live.
